Connecting YOUth to Nature is Our Nawakwa’s capital campaign to secure Camp Nawakwa’s future for generations of young people. As we enter our 90th year, we are building on a legacy of outdoor learning, leadership, and connection to nature.

With the property and basic overhead for the first five years already funded, your gift helps complete essential camp upgrades and create a safe, inspiring place where youth can grow and thrive outdoors.

Beginning in 2026, Our Nawakwa will introduce direct annual giving opportunities to support camp operations, strengthen community stewardship, and help subsidize youth group rentals — ensuring access for schools, nonprofits, and youth organizations.

Donors may also choose to support the Our Nawakwa Youth Camp Fund, an endowment held at the Community Foundation of Chippewa County. As this fund grows, it will provide increasing annual support to Camp Nawakwa for decades to come.

Give today and help Connect YOUth to Nature — now and for generations to come.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES

As part of the Connecting Youth to Nature Capital Campaign, the community has given over $1.5 million of the $2.3 million campaign goal. Campaign priorities include:

• Camp purchase – completed

• Basic operations & overhead – completed

• Autumn’s Kitchen – $120,000 total

• Truck – $30,000

• Lower camp latrine/emergency shelter – $30,000

• Energy efficiency upgrades – $80,000

Significant early momentum—from youth-group growth to facility upgrades—has already taken root. Completing the vision requires broad community support as Camp Nawakwa enters its 90th year.
